We’ve had a mixed bunch of weather so far this May, with gloriously sunny days, breezy days and some¬†downright wet days! Still, the wet ones are good for the garden, we tell ourselves.

Looking good this month are the rhododendrons and azaleas, plus alliums, Dicentra (whose name has recently changed to Lamprocapnos), pink lily of the valley, Libertia grandiflora ‘Amazing Grace’, monkshood in the sunken garden and vibrant magenta Ixia.

Our cream teas are going down well and we’ve had our first fantastic review as new owners on TripAdvisor!
